Breeding Program

Northwest Plant Company has developed an intensive cooperative breeding program with Plant & Food Research of New Zealand. They have been working with very high yielding, machine harvestable, and RBDV resistant selections for many years.

This advanced raspberry germplasm was previously unavailable in the Pacific Northwest. We are very exited about the potential new cultivars that may result from our breeding trials. The goal of our cooperative breeding program is to provide the local process raspberry industry with alternative and higher quality cultivars than are currently available.
