Northwest Plant Company takes pride in our Management Practices and is committed to using advanced cultural management practices including:
- Tarped soil fumigation, insuring nematode and pathogen control.
- Planting only in well drained, sandy-loam soils that previously have not
grown caneberries. - Nursery fields are on a 5 to 8 year replant rotation and are isolated from other
raspberry plantings. - All plants originate from nuclear virus-free planting stock.
- Progressive growing techniques.
- Washington State Department of Agriculture performs multiple inspections to declare our fields and plants free from contaminants and that they are true to type.
